Now I know that the Ministry is making some effort to have the primary schools equipped with computers. However with these computers you are unable to install any programs. Then there is also no internet access in most primary schools.

As such it is almost impossible to use the computers that are in the schools

Teachers have to use their own laptops

I can relate to the frustration

I do wish that the Ministry would be diligent in their efforts to provide the necessary technology in our schools, so that we can join the rest of the world in reaping the benefits, technology has to offer.
I must commend the ministry for making the effort to provide the technology necessary in the schools. I have even seen schools with an IT technician, at my school however other problems exist. The physical structure of the classroom and poor electrical does not allow for the teacher to use the laptop in the classroom. The rooms that have the resources to do so are for specific subject areas and as such the majority of teachers do not have access to the rooms. I sadly say that we had everything type that you could think about , but there were persons who thought that they could be better use elsewhere and they were "spirited" away not once but four times. We have nothing left, I have now resorted to using an IBM from the last era that cannot go online nor can it last without the power cord being attached to an outlet. What does the ministry do to help me? What can I do? What becomes of my students?
